When to Choose This eSIM

Installation and Requirements
Purchase and install your AT&T MX eSIM once you are in Mexico. The AT&T eSIM price includes the selected top-up and is linked from the date we send your
AT&T Mexico eSIM to your email. Installation is via QR code (one-time use).
This prepaid AT&T eSIM requires the latest version of the Android or iOS operating system and it is not necessary to contract AT&T eSIM plans.
You must be in Mexico under native coverage (not extended with Telcel) for your AT&T prepaid eSIM to activate.
By official regulation, you must link your line with your INE, CURP, or passport (applies to foreigners and locals) to your AT&T prepaid eSIM. A link will be sent to complete the process in the delivery email. Your AT&T prepaid eSIM will remain inactive until it is linked. More information here.
Your Line
New line: when purchasing AT&T eSIM, select a Numeric Series from the available options or choose “Other” and write it in the displayed field.
Portability: port your current number (not AT&T) to your AT&T eSIM. Select the portability area code, choose a top-up of $150 or more, and enter your number and PIN in the displayed fields. The process takes 24 to 48 business hours, and during that period, a temporary number will be assigned to your AT&T Mexico eSIM.
From the validity of the included top-up, you only need to recharge the amount of your top-up to maintain your AT&T digital chip. If you prefer, your virtual AT&T chip can remain for up to 60 days without recharging.
Top-ups
100 MXN: 2 GB for browsing + 4 GB promotional bonus for 12 months (portability) or 3 months (new line), unlimited minutes, SMS, and social media. Validity: 30 days (portability) or 14 days (new line).
150 MXN: 3 GB for browsing + 6 GB promotional bonus for 12 months (portability) or 3 months (new line), unlimited minutes, SMS, and social media. Validity: 30 days (portability) or 25 days (new line).
200 MXN: 4 GB for browsing + 8 GB promotional bonus for 12 months (portability) or 3 months (new line), unlimited minutes, SMS, and social media. Validity: 30 days.
300 MXN: 6 GB for browsing + 12 GB promotional bonus for 12 months (portability) or 3 months (new line), unlimited minutes, SMS, and social media. Validity: 30 days.
You can recharge your AT&T eSIM plans at any physical or virtual location that accepts AT&T top-ups.

Warranty
72-hour warranty on your AT&T virtual SIM. Applies only to issues related to the QR code, except if the AT&T eSIM is deleted and reinstalled. Does not cover issues due to misuse, installation on incompatible devices, or problems related to incorrect installation of the AT&T virtual chip.

Before Hiring eSIM ATT
QR Code
The QR code of your ATT digital SIM is for one-time use only and cannot be scanned more than once. Contact support in case of any issues with your AT&T virtual SIM.
Activation
When purchasing the AT&T eSIM, it requires coverage exclusively in Mexico to be activated; it cannot be activated in another country. We recommend buying and installing/activating your AT&T eSIM card while you are in Mexico.
Identity Linking
By official provision, when purchasing an ATT eSIM, your AT&T electronic SIM requires mandatory linking with INE, CURP, or passport, without exceptions. If you are a tourist, you can link your line with a passport. Your AT&T eSIM Mexico line remains inactive until the linking is completed through the link included in the delivery email of your AT&T eSIM Mexico.
Prepaid Mode
The AT&T eSIM price includes the selected recharge. The AT&T iPhone eSIM is a prepaid AT&T Mexico eSIM: you are not subject to an AT&T eSIM plan. Once the included recharge in your order is finished, you can recharge only the amount you choose. Your AT&T eSIM line can remain for up to 60 days without recharging.
AT&T SIM and AT&T eSIM
It is not possible to replace a physical SIM with an AT&T 5G eSIM. It is suggested to switch to another operator (for example, Axios, Newww, or another) and generate a return order to ATT 5G eSIM with portability after 30 days have passed.
