Purchase and install in Mexico or the United States
The purchase and installation of this Bait eSIM must be completed while you are physically in Mexico or the United States and within Bait's native service coverage to complete the installation and activation of your Bait virtual chip.

The Bait digital chip is installed using a one-time-use QR code. After installing the eSIM, do not delete the profile from your device.
A digital SIM
Your Bait digital SIM is stored directly on the device and replaces the physical SIM card for this line.
This option may also be referred to as a Bait virtual SIM, Bait virtual SIM card, Bait digital chip, or Bait virtual chip.
Once installed, keep the profile on your device.
YOUR NUMBER Number and porting
New line
When you choose a new line, you will receive a local number with area code 656.
After completing the linking of your line, you can request a number series change directly from Bait.

You can also keep your current number on your Bait eSIM through porting.
Select the number series corresponding to porting during checkout and enter the requested information in the displayed fields.
The process takes approximately 24 to 48 business hours. During this period, a temporary number will be assigned.
No SIM replacement
This product is for a new line or a port-in to Bait via eSIM.
It does not convert an existing physical Bait SIM into an eSIM or replace an already active Bait line.
REQUIRED Linking
By official requirement, you must link the account holder's identity.

Mexican citizens can complete the linking using an INE, passport, or CURP. Foreign nationals must use a passport.
Service and top-up After completing the linking
Your line will remain without service until linking is completed and correctly approved.
Once the linking is approved, the top-up included with your purchase will be released automatically.
Linking period Maximum 10 days
You have a maximum of 10 days to install your eSIM and complete the linking process for your line. After that period, the QR code will expire.

Your Bait eSIM includes the top-up selected at the time of purchase.
Bait offers eSIMs on a prepaid basis, so you can make additional top-ups afterward through any physical or digital channel that accepts Bait top-ups.
